I'm in a bit of a jam—my grandma's Windows 10 laptop has pretty much stopped working, and now the only fix is to reinstall or replace Windows. The OS keeps telling me it can't reinstall itself, so I'm looking for alternatives. I would love to hear your suggestions for Linux distributions that are super easy to use and would be suitable for someone who's not very tech-savvy. She mainly just uses the laptop for basic internet browsing, nothing too complicated.

Linux Mint is a solid choice! It's straightforward and looks quite similar to Windows right out of the box. My elderly friend has been using Mint for over six years, and it’s been pretty smooth—just needed a little help with upgrades now and then, but nothing major.
I would recommend trying Ubuntu as well. It's user-friendly and has a good community if she needs help.
