Can I get my phone repaired under AppleCare if my mom smashed it?

So, here's the deal: my mom intentionally smashed my phone, and now it won't turn on. The weird part is that the phone looks perfectly fine on the outside, with no visible damage or cracks. I've tried everything to get it to work, but nothing's working. I'm wondering if this would be covered under AppleCare?

If you have AppleCare+, you can definitely get it covered, but you'll need to pay a service fee. Just make sure to explain that it was an accident, like saying it got caught in a door or something similar. Good luck!

Just a heads up—if your phone is actually smashed, it’s a bit confusing if there’s no visible damage. Like, how can it be perfectly fine after being thrown around? But if you have AppleCare+, you're likely covered either way.

You can only get it covered if you have AppleCare+! Sounds like you might be in luck though since you mentioned having a warranty. Just check your coverage.

If you got AppleCare+ when you bought your phone or added it later, you should be good! Just remember to bring your phone to the appointment and they'll be able to help you out.
