Can I Pause My Location on Find My for iPhone?

I've been using Find My with my boyfriend for sharing locations since we're in a long-distance relationship. However, I've noticed that his location only seems to update when he's home or at work. Right now, it says he hasn't moved in 22 hours! Sometimes it shows he went out but then just stays stuck at home for hours. He has mobile data since we text often, so I'm confused. Is this a possible glitch, or could he be pausing his location on purpose?

It definitely seems a bit suspicious if his location is only updating when he's at home, right? Usually, if he’s out and connected to the internet, it should update more frequently.

Find My doesn’t update constantly. It only refreshes when someone pings the location. But if you're noticing major delays, that’s odd, especially if you see others' locations updating more frequently.

You can actually turn off location services in the settings. If he did that, his location wouldn't update until he turned it back on. He could also just put his phone in airplane mode to freeze the location.
