I'd like to clean up my feed by removing recommendations for communities I never joined but may have clicked on or commented in once. Is there a way to reset the recommendation algorithm so I can stop seeing those communities and discover different ones instead?

There usually isn’t one universal “reset algorithm” button. What resetting means depends on the specific recommendation system, and you may need to clear or change the activity it uses to personalize your feed.
You can mute communities individually. Open the community, use the three-dot menu, and choose the mute option. This should work even if you haven’t joined the community, so you can remove unwanted recommendations one at a time.
I didn’t realize I could mute communities I hadn’t joined. I’ll use that to clean up the recommendations.
That makes sense. I’m mainly trying to stop recommendations based on communities I only viewed or interacted with once, while finding new ones instead.
