I'm looking to get AppleCare One for my iPad Pro M4, which is less than 6 months old. I've heard I can buy AirPods 4 to kickstart the AppleCare One plan and then add my iPad to it. Is that correct? I don't have any other newer devices right now to add to the plan. Thanks for any insights!

Yes, you can actually start an AppleCare One plan for your iPad even before you buy any additional devices like AirPods. The plan costs around $19.95 a month and it's particularly beneficial if you have three devices covered. I managed to cover my iPad without having to visit an Apple Store or go through diagnostics. Plus, you're free to add or remove devices as needed, making it flexible for multiple devices.

But if you don’t have any devices under AppleCare+, you might be confused. It seems like you need a new device to kick things off, and then you can add older devices afterwards.
