I recently tried out the free trial for Microsoft Word on my MacBook, but instead of a trial, I was charged $108 as if I bought the full subscription through Apple Pay. I immediately tried to get a refund and canceled the subscription at the same time, but my refund request was denied. After disputing it again, I faced the same outcome with no options left to appeal further. I've contacted Apple multiple times and even spoke with supervisors who agreed that I was billed incorrectly. Unfortunately, they can't issue a refund due to their internal rules. Has anyone else experienced this? I wouldn't mind if it were a small amount, but $108 is really digging into my wallet! It's hard to believe a major company would be unable to fix such an obvious error.

Did you check if you've used the Microsoft Word free trial before? Sometimes, if you've had a previous trial, they charge automatically. Also, have you thought about reaching out to Microsoft directly? They might be able to help, even though Apple handled the billing.

I did contact Microsoft, but they just pointed fingers at Apple, saying it’s not their problem since the charge came from them. I completely forgot I had a trial two years ago, but when I signed up this time, it clearly stated it was a free trial with no charges until the trial ended.
