I recently switched from Windows to Linux Mint, and Discord consistently freezes as soon as I start streaming, regardless of which game or settings I use. I have to force-close or restart Discord every time. Is this a Linux Mint-specific issue, or could the way Discord was installed be causing it?

How did you install Discord? The package type can make a difference on Linux. The Snap, Flatpak, and APT versions may have different permissions and hardware access, especially for audio, video, and screen capture. It’s worth checking which one you’re using and trying another version to see whether the freezing stops.
That’s a good point—I hadn’t considered that the package format could affect screen capture. I’ll check whether I’m using the Snap, Flatpak, or APT version and compare them.
