I'm considering switching from an Intel 10700k to an AMD 9800X3D and plan to keep my entire setup, including multiple hard drives and SSDs. My main question is whether I need to completely rebuild my boot drive, or if I can just transfer it over and get things working. I'd love to hear from others who have made this switch and any issues you faced along the way.

I usually go for a fresh Windows install whenever I switch motherboards. It makes for a smoother experience, and you avoid quirky bugs that might show up if you try to carry over your old installation. It's also a good time to clear out any unnecessary junk that’s built up over time. Installing Windows doesn't take too long and can save you headaches later.
I moved from a 14600k to a 9800X3D recently without doing a fresh install, and everything is running perfectly. I just plugged it in and updated the drivers — no bugs or glitches at all!

Thanks for the info!
