I'm curious if Amazon WorkSpaces gives out any credits for trying their virtual desktops. Are there any free trials or options available for new users?

FutureTech11: You can run Windows 10 or 11 with WorkSpaces, and if you’re not keen on using Active Directory, Entra or Intune might work instead, though it does ramp up the cost.
