Does Turning Off Wi-Fi or Using Airplane Mode Stop Your Location from Updating?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out if turning off my Wi-Fi or putting my phone in airplane mode will stop my location from being updated in the Find My app. I really want to avoid hitting the 'stop sharing' button because someone is being quite nosy about my whereabouts. Is there a way to keep my location at the same spot without stopping sharing?

If you want to stop sharing, you could just disable the location sharing. If your friend is expecting you to share while they don't, you might want to speak up about it and turn it off for good!

It really depends on the app that’s tracking your location. Some might display your 'last known location' instead of live tracking. Just keep that in mind!

Nope! If you want to stay at the same location in the app, you actually have to leave your device where it is. Turning off Wi-Fi or using airplane mode won't freeze your location.
