I'm kicking off my journey as a trainee Azure Cloud Support Engineer today, and I'm feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. Could anyone share some advice on mistakes to avoid as a newbie in this field? I really want to set myself up for success!

Definitely learn tools like Terraform and Bicep—they're super handy! Python can be a plus too. Also, check out John Savill's YouTube channel weekly; he has great content. Don’t forget to leverage the admin learning paths on Microsoft Learn. Follow that roadmap and you’ll do great in your new role!
Make sure you grasp the fundamentals first. Understand concepts like networking, storage, compute, and security. Then, dive into Azure-specific nuances to see how those principles apply. Essentially, focus on the core pillars of cloud computing—security, cost management, performance, etc. Hands-on experience with Azure resources, including creating, maintaining, and patching them, will also be invaluable. It's all about building a solid foundation!

Thanks for the advice! Do you think I have a good career ahead in this role?
