Hi everyone! I recently upgraded my graphics card from an old GTX 1060 to a new RTX 5060 8GB. Ever since the installation, my internet connection has been really inconsistent. I'm seeing my internet speed drop to 0 kbps for about ten seconds at a time, then it jumps up to 40 mbps for a couple of seconds. I'm not keen on going back to my old GPU, but I'm at my wit's end here. I've heard that a GPU can sometimes interfere with WiFi, and since my new card is directly above my WiFi adapter, I'm wondering if that's the cause. Has anyone had a similar experience or know how to resolve this?

Just to clear this up, are you sure you installed the right GPU? The RTX 5080 only comes in 16GB. Did you mean to say the 5060 instead? Just double-checking since that's a common mix-up!
It sounds like you might have a power issue! The new GPU has different power requirements compared to the 1060. Make sure your PSU has enough wattage and that the correct power cables are properly connected. Also, try reseating all your Ethernet cables and check for any updates for your WiFi drivers. Sometimes drivers can mess with your connection too!
I slotted it in the same spot that my 1060 was in and used the same cables. I haven’t done a clean wipe of the drivers yet, but I plan to try that.
It's really strange because while I've been downloading the latest driver, my internet speeds are jumping back to 40-50 mbps. I guess drivers could impact speeds, right?

You're right, it's definitely the 5060. I must be dyslexic or something!
