I recently purchased an iPad and I want to set it up for family sharing since my kids will mainly be using it. However, when I try to access family sharing options on my phone, I get an error saying 'family information not available.' I've tried logging out and back in, but that didn't help. Also, while pairing the iPad, the 'create child account' option on my phone is grayed out, so I can't select it. I'm currently on software version 18.6.2, and my phone won't update to the latest version due to storage issues, but I didn't think I needed the most recent version to fix this problem. Any thoughts?

If you’re still having trouble after some time, you could also consider trying to set up family sharing from another device, if you have one. Sometimes switching to a different device can help reset whatever's stuck.
It looks like Apple might be experiencing a service outage right now. You can check their system status page to see if that's the case. I’d recommend waiting a bit and trying again later. Sometimes these issues can resolve themselves once their servers are back online.
I came across the same issue earlier. It can be pretty frustrating! It might just be a temporary glitch on Apple's end with their services. If you keep checking back, hopefully, it'll work after a while.
