Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to using CachyOS and I'm having a bit of trouble with Discord. Whenever I try to update it, the updater screen goes white and I can't select any version to install. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Any tips on how I can get Discord updated? Thanks!

Make sure to run the command `paru -Syu` to update your system. Also, how did you install Discord? If you went with `pacman -S discord` or used a tool like Octopi, that could make a difference. Let me know your installation method!

I actually installed it using Flatpak.

Have you checked out Vesktop? It's a great alternative for Discord installation: https://github.com/Vencord/Vesktop. Some users have had success with it!

Yeah, I've heard it works well!

You could try updating your system as a whole to see if that helps with the Discord update.

This is a known issue with some versions. You might want to check this Arch Wiki page for a potential solution: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Discord#Discord_asks_for_an_update_not_yet_available_in_the_repository.

I use a script for Arch that downloads the TAR version of Discord and sets it up properly. You can check it out here: https://gist.github.com/ofernandofilo/1fc308f3251c85a3f97523d491b8825b. Just read through the code and make sure you understand it before running!
