Help! Pico Connect is Glitching and Not Displaying Text on My PC

Hey everyone! I'm trying to use Pico Connect on my computer because I've had trouble with ALVR, probably due to my not-so-great specs. Pico Connect has worked for me in the past, so I thought I'd give it another shot. However, the application isn't displaying any text properly, and the window looks really glitchy.

I switched my winecfg to emulate Windows 10, and I'm currently running openSUSE Tumbleweed Slowroll. Here are my specs:

- OS: openSUSE Tumbleweed-Slowroll 20251002
- KDE Plasma: 6.4.5
- KDE Frameworks: 6.18.0
- Qt: 6.9.2
- Kernel: 6.17.5-1.0.8.sr20251001-default (64-bit)
- Processors: 6 x Intel® Core™ i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz
- Memory: 16 GiB RAM (15.6 GiB usable)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

I realize my setup isn't ideal for PC VR, but it worked fine on Windows, so I'm lost on what's happening here. Any help would be super appreciated! I'll be attaching a link to a screenshot of what Pico Connect looks like for me.

I couldn't attach an image directly to my response, but here's a link if you want to see how it should look. On my Fedora setup, Pico Connect runs fine with just the default Wine and corefonts, so it may be a specific issue with your OpenSUSE install.

Have you tried checking if the corefonts are installed? Sometimes missing fonts can cause issues like black boxes instead of text. You can use Winetricks to install them easily. It might help solve your problem!

I’ve got corefonts installed, but it still doesn’t show any text as shown in my screenshot. Not sure what else I could be missing.
