I'm having a major headache trying to cancel my Apple TV free trial. It seems like I can't do it on my own and need to reach out to support. When I check my subscriptions on the Google Play store, nothing shows up. On my iCloud account, it tells me that since I subscribed through Google Play, I need to cancel there instead. But when I go to manage subscriptions on Apple TV, it just redirects me back to Google Play, where there's still nothing listed. I chatted with support, and they mentioned that free trials don't show up unless you go monthly, which makes no sense to me. If someone forgets to cancel their trial, will they just get charged later without any alerts? I tried getting support to cancel it for me, but the chat disconnected, and they don't send a confirmation email. It's confusing and frustrating! How can I handle this? Also, I'm aware it should show on Google Play, but I can't find the option. I'm pretty sure I signed up on the Apple TV website. It's just really tough to navigate this!

You really have to cancel where you subscribed initially. If you signed up through Google Play, that’s where you’ll have to do it. I know it can be annoying, but this is how they manage subscriptions and payments. Just make sure you check again on Google Play, maybe the issue is just a glitch!
I think Apple can stop a subscription if it didn’t start with them, but you're right that they don't handle the billing for Google Play subscriptions. This whole process just seems convoluted!
This sounds like a huge hassle! The main issue seems to be that you subscribed through Google Play, so technically you have to cancel through them. Have you tried contacting Google support directly? They might be able to assist you with this.
I found a helpful link on Google’s support page about cancelling Apple TV subscriptions. You can start the process from this link: https://support.google.com/googleplay/workflow/9827184. Hopefully, this helps you get it sorted!

I get your frustration! Apple can cancel on their end, but that's probably because they have some access to manage subscriptions. It's just not an option available to you, unfortunately.
