I have a broken LCD screen on my phone, and I really want to use it with my laptop. Most guides I've seen say that I need to have touch functionality available on my phone, but I can't touch the screen without making the display worse. Is there a way to connect my phone to the laptop without using the touch screen?

A good option is to get a phone docking station with HDMI support and connect a mouse and keyboard to it. You can then run a VNC application that lets you access your phone with your laptop. But do keep in mind that if the display is too damaged, it might make it hard to see anything.
If your phone is Android, you might try using Dex or similar apps, which could help you link to a monitor and use your mouse. Just a heads up, though: if your screen is too broken, some important apps like Google Authenticator might not be accessible, which can be frustrating.
It really depends on the brand of your phone. If it’s an Android device, you might want to look into using a tool called Screencopy to mirror the screen on your laptop. However, if it’s an iPhone, the options are pretty limited, and getting it repaired might be your best bet.
