How can I convert my images to high-contrast black and white for printing?

I have a PDF with 72 images of notes that my friend sent me, but when I try to print them, the output looks really dull and gray. I'm looking to convert these images so they display a white background with high-contrast black text, which would make it much clearer for printing. I'm using a Canon printer with a 303 toner cartridge, and I'm on Windows 11. I don't have any Microsoft apps, so I'm hoping to find a free way to do this. Any suggestions?

You might want to try using a free image editing tool like GIMP or an online service like Photopea. Both of these let you adjust the contrast and brightness of images easily. Just load your PDF, edit the images to enhance the black and white contrast, and then save them for printing. It should help make your printouts look much sharper!
