I'm trying to figure out how to disable Copilot Chat when signing into portal.office.com for our users. Should I also consider adding something about it to our AI usage policy? Also, does anyone know if Copilot Chat keeps data that's valuable for the organization, or is it more like using ChatGPT, where the data is used publicly for learning? Thanks for the help!

Honestly, it seems like Copilot Chat is just part of the portal now. If you want to get rid of it, apparently you just shouldn't go to portal.office.com at all! Seems a bit ridiculous, right?

Just so you know, Copilot Chat is covered by enterprise data protection rules. According to Microsoft's documentation, none of the enterprise data or prompts are used to train public models, which means your interactions are kept private within your organization. You can check out more details from Microsoft if you're curious!

Yeah, but let’s be real. That 'agreement' isn't worth much. Microsoft is often unaccountable, and good luck getting any real recourse if they don’t uphold their side. Just think about it: if contracts can’t be enforced, are they even real? Anyone should be cautious before signing anything with vendors like that.

I totally get where you're coming from! It’s funny how they built Copilot from tons of data scraped online, then turn around and say, 'Trust us with your data' like it's all good. Who wouldn’t be skeptical?
