How Can I Free Up Space and Factory Reset My Windows Laptop?

I recently bought a Windows laptop with a very small 58 GB storage drive, and it already appears to be completely full. I don't have any important files saved on it, so I'm looking for the safest way to clear unnecessary data and perform a factory reset. What should I delete or do first to get the laptop usable again?

Since you donโt need to keep any files, the simplest option is to use Windowsโ built-in reset feature. Open Settings, go to System > Recovery, choose Reset this PC, then select Remove everything. If prompted, choose Cloud download or Local reinstall; Cloud download may need several gigabytes of temporary space and a reliable internet connection. Keep the laptop plugged in and donโt interrupt the reset. A 58 GB drive is extremely small, so Windows may continue running low on space afterward. Uninstalling unused apps and enabling Storage Sense can help, but adding a larger SSD or using external storage may be the long-term solution.
