I'm trying to figure out how to run Steam on my MacBook. I successfully installed Windows 11 through some means, but it seems like it doesn't fully integrate with my Mac. I can see the software, but it doesn't work seamlessly. I also attempted to download Epic Games, which worked well initially, but then it told me my Mac needs an update. However, I've reached the latest version compatible for my device, so I'm concerned if I'll always be stuck one version behind unless they update it again. Any advice on how to run Steam properly or should I look for a different solution? Just a heads up, I won't download any software linked in the comments.

You should be able to install Steam just by downloading it and executing the installer. If you're still having trouble, check to see if there are any background processes or permissions issues that might be blocking setup. Sometimes those things trip people up!
What MacBook model do you have? For Apple Silicon models, you might need to use software like Crossover to run Windows apps like Steam. If it's an older Intel model, downloading directly from Steam should work just fine. Let me know which one it is!
Got it! That should work without too many issues. Just double-check if your macOS supports the latest Steam version.
Steam does work on Mac, so you're on the right track! Just head over to the Steam website and look for the Mac download option. Make sure you’re downloading the right version for macOS. After installation, you should be able to use it without issues. If you run into problems, feel free to ask for help!

It's a MacBook Air with an i5, just for clarity.
