How can I install Revit without enough space on my C drive?

I'm looking to install Revit on my laptop, but I ran into a problem. The installer requires 21 GB of space on the C drive, and I only have about 7 GB available. I've tried changing the installation location for the product, but the space requirement still stands. Is there a way to install it on another drive instead of C?

It sounds like your C drive is too full! First, consider using the Microsoft automatic cleanup tool to free up some space. You might also want to try TreeSize to see what’s taking up space. Many installers let you change the installation path, so definitely check that option if the software allows it!

Before you install, I recommend downloading the offline installer for Revit to a different drive. It should let you install the program elsewhere without stressing your C drive. Additionally, cleaning out the C drive is a smart move; tools like WizTree or WinDirStat can help you find your largest files.

Cleaning up your drive is essential, or you might want to think about upgrading to a larger drive. Windows can become pretty sluggish when the hard drive is running low on space, so it's a good idea to keep things tidy!

If you have another drive, consider moving your user folders (like Documents, Music, Pictures) over there. You can do this by right-clicking the folder, going to properties, and changing the location. It really helps clear up space on your C drive. Also, don’t forget to run Disk Cleanup to remove any temporary files!
