I recently had to let an employee go and reassigned their phone number to a new hire. The issue is that when the new employee makes calls, the caller ID still shows the previous employee's name. For instance, the old employee, Erica, is now associated with the new employee, Rachel, even though Rachel is using the same number. This is causing confusion because the contacts that Erica had communicated with still see "Maybe: Erica" pop up when Rachel calls them. I really need to clear this up so that people don't think Erica still works with us! What steps can I take to get Rachel's name to show up instead?

The person receiving the call probably needs to save the new name as a contact. The system might still be linking the number with Erica because it's pulling from past communications. Let the people Rachel calls know to save her name if they want the correct one to show up.

That makes sense, but I've wiped the phone clean and checked the settings—there was never a name assigned to that number!
