I have a Google account registered in India with around ₹2500 in my Google Play balance. Most of the year, I'm in Bangladesh for my studies, but whenever I try to make purchases on the Google Play Store, I receive an error stating that my balance can only be used in India. I've attempted using a VPN, but that hasn't worked either. I even asked my sister in India to log into my account on her phone to help me buy apps, but she's been struggling with the same error for three days. Is there a way to work around this issue? Also, when I tried to use a UPI or credit card, it says I need to change my account location. I really want to use my balance since I get a discount when purchasing it.

Unfortunately, your Google Play balance is indeed region-locked, which means you're stuck with that error unless you're in India. Even using a VPN won't help because Google can often detect it and still block purchases based on your account location.
This is a classic issue with digital stores. Have you considered buying gift cards instead? You could ask someone in India to purchase a Google Play gift card for you and send the code. That would bypass the balance problem.
Good idea! But how would I redeem it while I'm in Bangladesh?

That sounds frustrating! Is there any way to change your Google account's country settings permanently?
