Hey everyone! Whenever my friends and I gather together, we love to watch TikToks on the TV through screen mirroring. It's always fun to check out the comments together, but something strange happened tonight. The comments didn't show up on the screen, which has never happened before. I also got an AirPlay logo on the screen this time. I'm using an iPhone 14 with iOS 17.4.1, and my friend has a newer iPhone model that doesn't seem to have this issue. Is there any way to turn off this AirPlay feature so that it just displays a normal Picture in Picture? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider updating your iPhone. You're on an older version that Apple doesn't even sign anymore, and there are known bugs that could affect how apps perform with AirPlay. You should really aim for iOS 18.6.2 for the best experience!
I don't think it's just a version issue since I updated to 18.6.2 and faced the same problem with TikTok. It seems like it’s something specific to the app itself, so keep an eye on those app updates!
Yeah, sometimes app-specific bugs pop up after major updates. Just make sure you're running the latest version of TikTok as well!
I understand the importance of updating. I just haven’t had enough space to do it yet. If I clear some storage and update, will that solve the issue with showing comments?
