How to Backup and Restore Microsoft Office 2024 LTSC Without a Product Key?

I'm facing a problem with my notebook that has Microsoft Office 2024 LTSC Professional Plus (Build 17932.20638) installed. The system is acting up, so I need to do a complete Windows reinstall using a recovery USB. The tricky part is that I don't have the product key or an installer for Office. I want to know if there's a way to fully back up the current Office setup, including its license information, to restore it later after the Windows reinstallation without having to buy a new license. Are there any reliable methods, such as copying specific folders or registry entries, that I can use to successfully bring back my Office installation afterward?

You could try using a tool like Magic Jelly Bean to recover the product key. Microsoft also has a deployment guide that might help you out, which you can find on their site.

Just a heads-up, the key isn’t actually stored on your PC; you only have the last five digits. You could check your Microsoft account for the key too. Alternatively, consider doing an in-place reinstall instead of a full wipe. It won't solve every issue but could fix some problems.

I’d recommend contacting the vendor you bought the Office from. They might help you recover your documents and provide a new copy of your keys. If you have Office 2024 LTSC, there should be a download link associated with someone's email where you can retrieve your key.

Have you checked if you have any MAK codes in your volume license center? That’s what we use to roll out Office 2024 on standalone machines when users don't have E3 licenses.
