How would you verify reports of CrowdStrike issues in Europe?

There are unconfirmed reports of endpoint problems affecting some users in European regions, including black screens, login trouble, and apps closing unexpectedly. What would you check before treating these symptoms as one incident?

Start by checking your own environment, not by assuming the reports are accurate or all related. Compare affected and unaffected devices by region, operating system, sensor version, and recent policy or content changes. A timeline can help show whether the symptoms began together.

Then check the vendorโ€™s service and support channels for a confirmed notice. A handful of similar reports can be an early signal, but they do not establish the scope or cause.

If machines are affected, capture what you can before making broad changes: error details, endpoint logs, timestamps, and which apps or services stopped. Avoid disabling protection or pushing a fleet-wide fix based only on secondhand reports. Follow your incident process and use confirmed vendor guidance for any remediation.

Black screens and failed logins are pretty nonspecific. Iโ€™d separate the symptoms first: are endpoints actually offline, are only certain apps closing, and can users sign in through another route? That helps distinguish an endpoint-agent problem from an identity, network, or unrelated device issue.
