iOS 26 Update Changed My Apple Books Settings – Any Solutions?

Hey folks! I'm reaching out because the latest iOS 26 update has really messed up my phone settings, especially in Apple Books. The way page transitions work has completely changed, and now I have to adjust these settings from the main settings app, which I don't mind. However, even after I change the transition style to options like curl or scroll, it doesn't seem to apply in the Books app at all. Is there a fix for this? I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks!

I get that it’s annoying when updates change things you’re used to. If changing it in the main settings doesn't help, it might just be a glitch with the app after the update. You could try restarting your phone or even reinstalling the app to see if that resolves the issue. Sometimes these things take a bit to reset after an update!

For the page transition settings, check the bottom of the page in Apple Books. You should see two parallel lines with three dots beneath them. Click on that, and you'll find a settings option there. Just so you know, any changes you apply to a book won't automatically update if you've already changed them in the main settings. You'll need to change those individually. It’s a bit of a hassle, but that’s how it works now. Good luck!

I tried that, but it seems like the transition setting has been moved completely to the main settings app after the update. Even after changing it there, it doesn't reflect in my books. Pretty frustrating!
