iPhone 13 Pro shuts down at 60% battery

My iPhone 13 Pro suddenly powers off when the battery reaches around 60%. After a few minutes it turns back on showing about 10%, and it seems to charge back to 100% unusually fast—roughly 20 minutes—before shutting down again. This used to happen closer to 40%, but it has been getting worse and now makes the phone unreliable when I'm away from home. Battery Health reports a maximum capacity of 99%. Could this still be a faulty battery, or is something else causing the inaccurate percentage and sudden shutdowns?

That pattern usually points to a battery or power-management fault: the phone is reporting plenty of charge, but the battery voltage collapses under load. Check Battery Health and Charging, but even a high maximum-capacity reading doesn’t completely rule out a defective battery or a bad battery-health reading. Apple or an authorized repair shop should run diagnostics, and replacing the battery is a likely fix.
