I recently bought a refurbished iPhone 16 Pro and noticed that when the brightness is lowered to around 30% or below, the display starts flickering and showing strange color tints. The screen looks normal again at higher brightness, although sometimes the tint remains briefly after adjusting it. Could this be caused by a faulty or replacement display, and should I have the seller repair or replace the phone?

Check the phone’s Parts and Service History in Settings to see whether the display has been replaced or repaired. Since it was purchased refurbished and the problem only appears at low brightness, a faulty replacement screen is possible. If the display is listed as repaired, document the issue with a video and contact the seller to request a repair or replacement under their warranty.
The service history says the display was repaired, so I’ll contact the seller and include a video showing the flickering.
