iPhone 16 Pro screen flickers and shifts colors at low brightness

I recently bought a refurbished iPhone 16 Pro, and the display starts flickering with strange color tints whenever I lower the brightness to around 30% or below. The screen looks normal again at higher brightness, but sometimes the odd tint remains even after I adjust the brightness. The device's Parts and Service History says the display has been repaired. Is this likely a defective or incompatible replacement screen, and should I have the seller repair or replace the phone?

Check the phone’s Parts and Service History first, since a repaired display could explain this behavior. Flickering and color shifts at low brightness are not normal, and may indicate a faulty or non-genuine replacement panel. Because you bought it refurbished, document the problem with a video and contact the seller for a repair or replacement rather than trying to fix it yourself.

The fact that it only happens at low brightness points to a display hardware or replacement-screen issue, not a normal setting. Try restarting the phone and installing any available software update, but if the problem continues, use the seller’s warranty or return period. Ask for the device to be inspected or replaced, especially since the display has already been repaired.
