Is 87°C Too High for My Gaming Laptop?

I'm using an HP Pavilion gaming laptop, and it's reaching temperatures of around 85-87°C while I play a Minecraft modpack called Cobbleverse. I'm worried that these high temperatures might damage my laptop over time. I do use a cooling pad, but it's an off-brand one that seems less effective than it used to be. What should I do? Is 87°C dangerously high?

For laptops, hitting around 87°C isn’t too unusual. Mine has been consistently running hot like that for a couple of years, and it's still in one piece. Just keep an eye on it, and don’t push it to those temps for extended periods. You're probably okay!
