I heard that CDburnerXP used to come with adware through OpenCandy, and there was an announcement a couple of years back saying they'd switched to InstallCore. Now that both have been discontinued, does anyone know if CDburnerXP still includes any adware? I can't find recent information, and the links for the portable versions seem broken. Also, if it does have adware, will simply unchecking options during installation be enough to avoid it, or could something still sneak by?

I’ve used EAC for burning CDs lately, and I haven’t encountered any adware with it. You might want to give that a shot instead of CDburnerXP!
Honestly, sometimes you just have to try it yourself to be completely sure about the adware situation. I always go for a custom install option so I can choose what gets added. It helps me avoid anything unwanted!
That sounds risky! It's like testing food for poison by eating it. There has to be a better way.
