Hey folks! I'm curious about whether it's safe to keep using Office 2019 now that its support has ended. I've come across some articles mentioning potential security risks and vulnerabilities. I mainly use Word occasionally, so I'm wondering how much of a concern this really is. Also, I have my doubts about those cheap license websites, so any thoughts?

Yep, there's definitely a risk of security issues and vulnerabilities now that support has ended. If you're going to stick with Office 2019, here are some tips: avoid opening documents from unknown sources, disable macros to protect against malware, ensure your antivirus is up-to-date, and consider using it in a virtual machine or offline if you can.

As long as you keep Office 2019 until support ends in October 2025, you should be relatively safe. But once that date comes, you won't receive any more security updates, increasing your risks—especially if you open files from untrusted sources. Since you only use Word occasionally, your risk is low for now. Just remember to keep your antivirus software and operating system updated, and stay away from those sketchy files and cheap licenses. Looking ahead, thinking about moving to Microsoft 365 or another version before 2025 might be smart.
