I'm looking for a solution specifically for blocking political ads on TV. Ideally, it could be an app or some tech that either adds a delay to my stream to mute the sound or even better, display a blank screen with the message "POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT" whenever these ads come on. If something like this doesn't exist yet, I think someone should really consider inventing it!

Creating something like that would probably face major pushback from the FCC, regardless of who's in power. They wouldn't take too kindly to anything that disrupts TV advertising, especially when it comes to political ads. If you're a bit tech-savvy, you could potentially train an AI model to recognize certain "trigger words" and mute your TV if it's connected to a robust PC.
That sounds cool! I think I'm gonna give it a shot anyway, but just for my personal use, not for sale. Wish me luck!
