Is there a way to get rid of Gemini on my devices?

Hey everyone! I hope this isn't a frequently asked question, but I'm really frustrated with Gemini. I find it super distracting and it takes away from the fun of exploring things on my own. I need help figuring out how to completely remove it from both my Chromebook and my Android phone. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to remove Gemini from your phone at the moment. It's expected to eventually replace the Google Assistant, so you might be stuck with it for a while.

One option is to set your assistant to Google Assistant in the assistant settings. If Gemini is installed, you can uninstall it. I also disabled all permissions and settings for it, though keep in mind that updates might revert those changes every time.

I get where you're coming from, but removing something like Gemini is tough since it's part of the core system. It's similar to trying to get rid of iOS on an iPhone. If you're really against it, you might need to consider switching away from all Google devices entirely.
