I'm on the lookout for an AI assistant that can connect with Gmail or Outlook and allows me to read and respond to emails entirely through voice commands on my phone. I'm hoping for a solution that can read new emails out loud, give summaries of email threads, let me dictate replies in a natural way, and then send them, ideally using something like ChatGPT or another language model. Basically, I'm looking for a smooth "voice-to-voice" email experience—no typing, just talking and listening! I've tried using Siri, Google Assistant, and CarPlay, but none of them have worked well for me. Does anyone know if such a product is available, or a workflow using Shortcuts, Tasker, or APIs that comes close?

Don't forget the human element—you can always take a moment to check your emails rather than relying on technology to do everything.
You might want to explore some built-in accessibility features on your phone or device. Many people who are visually impaired or have mobility challenges have been using email effectively for years without the need for AI. There are ways to check and respond to emails via voice without relying on language models, except for summarizing emails, which is more recent. Have you tried those options?
I feel like we're watching a trend where people want to use AI for convenience when some older tech was already doing what they need. Just my two cents!
It's kind of wild how companies keep trying to reinvent the wheel with AI when basic functions exist already. For instance, I've seen tools like CoPilot being praised for just basic summarization and grammar checks. Why not just leverage what's already available instead of complicating things?
Totally agree! Sometimes simplicity is key, and the AI hype can just complicate things.

That sounds interesting! Do you have specific apps or features in mind that work well for that?
