I'm considering whether it's worth it to pay an additional $500 to upgrade my graphics card from an RX 9060XT to an RX 9070XT. My primary use will be gaming, including titles like Roblox, Forza Horizon 5, Fortnite, and Valorant, along with some occasional editing and animating. Right now, I'm using a 1080p 180Hz monitor, though I might upgrade to a higher resolution in the future. This is my first real PC build since I've mostly gamed on an Xbox One X. I want smooth gameplay at 1440p and decent performance for editing, so should I go for the Rx 9070XT or stick to the RX 9060XT?

You'll likely see a significant performance boost if you upgrade, but it's ultimately your call if the $500 extra is worth it for you.
I'd suggest getting the 1440p monitor first and checking how well your current setup runs the games you enjoy. The RX 9060XT should be more than enough for the titles you mentioned, and you might not even need the upgrade right now.
Yeah, but I need to decide between the RX 9060XT and 9070XT first so I know what monitor to get, especially since I'm currently on Xbox.
I get that, but the price difference isn't huge for the performance benefit you might get.
With your current monitor and gaming choices, it doesn't make much sense to upgrade right now. Just wait until the new cards are announced in a few months.
Honestly, I don't think it's worth the upgrade. If a new generation is coming out soon, it might be better to wait for those cards instead of spending $500 now.
But those new cards won't be here until early 2027, so I'm leaning towards grabbing something from this generation.

I know, but I'm still on the fence about whether to put up that $500.
