I'm trying to delete a specific email from all user accounts due to compliance requirements. However, when I execute the ComplianceSearchAction command with the parameters -Purge -HardDelete, it seems to run but doesn't actually remove the email. It's been a week since my initial attempt and I haven't received any errors. I'm wondering what might be going wrong?

Also, clarify where you're checking to see if the emails are still there. Are you looking in the right folders? If you have access to some mailboxes as a delegate, ensure you verified correctly. It might be worth exploring using the Graph API for purging. Speaking of licenses, do you have an E5 plan or at least the E5 compliance/Purview SKU?
First, make sure you have the correct administrator roles assigned for purging emails. If you lack the necessary permissions, you might not see the desired outcomes, like the purge completing successfully.
