Hey everyone! I'm super excited to start building my first PC, but I really don't know where to kick things off. I had a PCPartPicker list from a couple of years back, but I think it's best to start fresh. My main requirement is that I'd like a case with glass panels on at least two sides.
I plan to use this PC mainly for playing The Sims with some mild to heavy mods, Minecraft with similar mod intensity plus shaders, and any other games my friends might want to play with me. Luckily, they usually stick to lighter titles since I also have a PS5 for bigger games like Resident Evil. My flexible budget is around $2,000, but I can stretch it up to $3,000 if necessary. I'm also considering prebuilt options!
Thanks in advance for your help!

Building a PC can be tricky with the state of current parts supply, but I think a DIY build might still be your best bet! Just a heads up, your budget seems a bit on the high side. You could easily get something fantastic for less, to the point where you might not even need your PS5 anymore!
If you're willing to spend around $2,500, just go for a build with either a 5080 and 7800X3D or a 9800X3D. But honestly, the 5070ti is almost just as fast and costs $350 less. You can save a lot by checking local markets for RAM, GPU, and CPU deals. Like, I found a 7800X3D for about $300 and 32GB of DDR5 RAM for around $200 locally!
Thanks a lot for the info!
Have you thought about whether you want a white or black PC? Also, do you care about RGB lighting? I could suggest a black build with RGB for around $1,900 if you're interested!
I’d prefer a white case with RGB fans!
Here’s a link to an all-white build that might catch your interest: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/38vCbp

LOL, noted! What do you think would be a more reasonable budget then?
