Hey everyone! I work at a small local company that's focused on developing websites for local businesses. We're a team of five developers, and typically we work individually on our projects. There's only one person on the team who really has a knack for creating visually appealing designs, but he's always super busy. I'm hoping to take on some design tasks myself and ease the burden on him while also supporting my colleagues. I think my manager would be on board with me taking a course to boost my design skills. Can anyone recommend some good courses or resources? Thanks for your help!

W3Schools has a lot of solid information covering a bit of everything. You can find it at https://www.w3schools.com/.
This is where I learned how to build websites. It's completely free (or at least was when I started learning about 10 years ago). It’s a fantastic starting point!
Check out some YouTube resources! I found a couple of great tutorials:
- For the fundamentals of design: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SnxFkHqN1RA
- A beginner web design course: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9nBRJo_Iss
- Another excellent web design video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ_tBExnuX8
- And a coloring tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo_lUWK_deo
Thank you for sharing, I really appreciate it!
Web design has become quite comprehensive these days. I recommend checking out this roadmap to get started: https://roadmap.sh/frontend. It'll give you a good guide of all the skills to learn.
Thanks for sharing this resource, much appreciated!
Just pick something that won't make your grandma cry with outdated CSS!
Pick something from where, may I ask?

Thanks for sharing! But I might be missing something on their site. I see a lot about coding but not much on design. I know how to code but struggle with the design side.
