Hi everyone! I had a rough experience recently where my Microsoft account was hacked, and after reaching out to support, they couldn't recover it and ended up closing my account completely. This has led to me losing access to multiple things, but the most pressing issue is my Windows license.
Currently, my PC is still logged into the old account, but I can't use certain services like OneDrive anymore since they keep prompting me to enter a password I can't provide.
I have a few concerns:
- If I set up a new Microsoft account, is there a way to transfer or restore my Windows license to it?
- Can I reconnect features like Phone Link on my phone since they're linked to the old account?
- Is it safe to create a new account with the same email if the previous one might still be compromised?
- If creating a new account isn't a solution, how can I switch my PC from the old account to a new one effectively?
I'm looking for guidance on how to navigate this situation without making things worse. Thanks in advance for any help!

Once your Microsoft account is permanently suspended after a compromise, there’s really no recovery option. Unfortunately, everything tied to that account is lost, including your Windows license. Creating a new account might allow you to link a new Windows license, but that’s about all you can do. Make sure to check your activation settings in the new account after you set it up!
If you create a new Microsoft account, there’s a chance you can link your Windows license again. Just log into the new account, head to the 'activation' settings, and see if it syncs up to the new account. Fingers crossed that it works!

What about my Minecraft account? Could that also link?
