My PC Won't Start After Being Away for a Few Days

I returned home after three days to find my PC completely unresponsive. It's connected to a UPS and there haven't been any power surges or outages. When I hit the power button, nothing happens—no lights, no sounds, it's like it's not getting any power at all. I've already tried using different outlets and power cords, checked the CMOS, and discharged the capacitors in the power supply. What else should I try next?

Have you considered testing with a different power supply? If your current one has died, it could be the easiest fix.

First off, double-check that the UPS is actually functioning. Sometimes it might seem okay, but there could be an issue underneath. Just to be sure, make sure all cables connecting to the motherboard and the power supply unit are securely attached.

This might sound silly, but I've seen it happen before: make sure the main switch on the power supply is switched on. It's easy to overlook when troubleshooting.
