A few days ago, my phone number suddenly stopped activating for iMessage, and I can't figure out why. I've gone through everything on the Apple support page and watched multiple video guides, but nothing has worked. I even contacted Apple Support directly; we did a screen share, but the representative didn't know what the problem was either after our troubleshooting session. They suggested I record the issue for engineers to review, and we scheduled a callback for Wednesday.
Has anyone else faced this issue? What could be causing it? I went through my carrier, replaced my SIM with an eSIM, and waited 24 hours, but iMessage still won't recognize my number—it just shows an infinite loading symbol or says there's an error. I've had this number for over ten years, and I really don't want to change it. My iCloud email works fine for iMessage, but I need my number, too. If you've dealt with this before, what could help? Any advice would be appreciated.

It's possible that your phone number might be blocked from using iMessage. Have you tried the steps mentioned in Apple's support for activating iMessage or FaceTime? They have a section on it that might help you get things rolling again.

I mentioned in my post that I've tried all those steps. Even the Apple agent was stumped!
