I installed GeForce Game Ready Driver 616.92, and the installer reported that the installation completed successfully. Both the Graphics Driver and HD Audio Driver were marked as installed, but the NVIDIA App still displays "No driver installed." Device Manager also continues to show the previous NVIDIA driver version. I tried installing the driver both with the standalone installer and through the NVIDIA App, including multiple reinstall attempts. I mainly want the app to recognize the installed driver so I can access and change NVIDIA settings. What else can I try?

Try completely removing the existing NVIDIA display driver with Display Driver Uninstaller, then reboot and install the driver again. A normal uninstall through Device Manager may leave behind files or driver-store entries that interfere with detection.
Use the driver installer’s clean-install option, make sure Fast Startup is disabled, and restart the computer afterward. Then check whether the NVIDIA App recognizes the driver. If it still shows the old version in Device Manager, the installation may not actually be replacing the active driver.
I followed those steps as well, including the clean installation and restart, but the problem remains.
I already tried uninstalling the driver through Device Manager and then installing it manually, but the NVIDIA App still does not detect it.
