SES Production Access Request Has Been Pending for Over 24 Hours

I submitted a request to move my Amazon SES account out of the sandbox and into production about 28 hours ago, but I still haven't received a response. This is blocking testing for my application. I tried contacting support, but the system says I'm not eligible to create a support request. Is this delay normal, and is there anything I can do to move the request along?

Some production-access requests have taken around three days to complete. If you don’t have a paid support plan, support options may be limited, so the best course is generally to wait for the review to finish rather than opening repeated requests.

A delay like this can be normal, particularly over a weekend or when using the basic support tier. These requests may take several business days, so there usually isn’t a workaround besides waiting. For future launches, submit the request well ahead of time and allow extra time for review.

Got it—lesson learned. I’ll make sure to submit these requests earlier next time.
