Hey everyone! I just got an Alienware Aurora 16 laptop for college and gaming, and after trying Linux on my Steam Deck, I'm eager to give it a shot on this laptop with Linux Mint. However, I've heard that I might lose some features specific to the Alienware hardware. Since I'm new to Linux, I'd love a second opinion before I dive in. Additionally, will an 8GB flash drive be sufficient for creating a bootable USB? Thanks in advance!

An 8GB drive is definitely enough. Also, consider setting up a dual-boot with Windows. There are still some functions that work better on Windows, so having both can be a good backup if you encounter issues with Linux.
You won’t lose any essential features, just the unnecessary bloatware that comes with Windows. And yes, an 8GB flash drive will work perfectly for a bootable USB!
That's what I was hoping for, thank you!

Thanks! I’ve thought about dual-booting but haven't looked into it. What advantages do you think I’d get from that?
