I'm stuck on verifying my phone number while going through the account verification steps. I'm at step 4 out of 5, and every time I enter my number and try to send the SMS, I get this error: "Sorry, there was an error processing your request. Please try again. If the error persists, contact AWS customer support." I've attempted this several times, but the error keeps showing up, preventing me from completing the verification. I've already submitted a case to support, but no response yet. Can anyone help me figure this out?

It sounds like you might be trying to use a disposable VoIP number? Those often get flagged and won't work for verification. It's better to use a permanent mobile number instead.

AWS support can be really slow to respond. Keep following up with them until you hear back. It's frustrating, but that's often how it goes with tech support.

Yeah, I've had to contact them multiple times when I've encountered issues. Just stay on them!
