Hey everyone! I'm having an issue with my webcam not working on Discord. It's been over a year since it last functioned there, even though it works perfectly fine with every other application. The light that indicates the camera is in use stays off whenever I try to use it in Discord. Here's what I've done so far to try and fix it: I disabled the privacy settings in my antivirus, reinstalled the camera drivers, and reset the voice and video settings in Discord. Any advice or solutions would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Just a thought, is your webcam quite old or one of those lesser-known brands like Anker or Aukey? I've heard those sometimes run into issues with newer software updates. Switching to brands like Logitech can be a safer bet, as they usually get full support with updates.
First things first, make sure that Discord has permission to use your camera in your Windows privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and check if Discord is allowed. If it’s not, that could be the issue! Also, consider reinstalling Discord entirely and see if that helps. Sometimes, completely disabling your antivirus while testing can make a difference too.
I noticed Discord isn't showing up in my camera's app permissions. Does that indicate a problem? I can confirm camera access is allowed for other apps.
Have you checked the Privacy settings on your computer? Navigate to Settings > Privacy > Camera and see if Discord has access. If it doesn’t, that’s likely the culprit. You might also want to completely uninstall and then reinstall Discord to see if that resolves the issue and check if your antivirus is blocking access.
Discord isn't listed among the apps that can access the camera, and it hasn't shown recent activity requesting access. I’ll try reinstalling Discord next.

It's actually the built-in webcam on my Lenovo LOQ 15ARP9. It works fine with the latest Teams version, though.
