I'm running a Ryzen 5 7600X with a B650 motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, a 360mm AIO, an 850W Gold-rated power supply, and an RX 7800 XT. My monitor is a 32-inch 4K OLED running at 240Hz. I really enjoy native 4K with ultra-quality textures, but demanding games currently drop to around 15–30 FPS. I'd like a stronger GPU for better image quality and smoother performance. Would my current system safely support a high-end upgrade such as an RTX 5080, RTX 5090, or Radeon RX 9070 XT? Would I need a larger power supply, and would the Ryzen 5 7600X or my cooling become a serious bottleneck?

There isn’t really a dangerous CPU bottleneck here. A bottleneck just means one component limits performance, and at 4K that will usually be the GPU. The 7600X may limit very high refresh-rate performance in some games, but it shouldn’t prevent you from upgrading the graphics card or damage anything. Upgrade the CPU later only if your frame-time performance shows that it’s holding you back.
At 4K, the graphics card is usually the limiting component, so your Ryzen 5 7600X is still a reasonable match. An 850W PSU should be fine for most upgrades, but an RTX 5090 generally calls for a higher-capacity unit around 1000W or more, depending on the specific card and PSU requirements. Make sure the power supply has the correct native connectors and that the case has enough room and airflow.
